The mission

Unlocking the hero in every child. Our target is 10 million children by 2035.

Scrubbing Squad exists to build confidence, capability and pride in children through real-world missions. The Unlocking Heroes Foundation is how that reach extends to children whose families could not otherwise afford it.

02

The pledge, written into our constitution

Scrubbing Squad Limited has committed a share of its profits to the Unlocking Heroes Foundation. The commitment is written into the company’s Articles of Association as a profit allocation provision. It is a structural commitment of the company, not a marketing statement.

The pledge follows a deliberate glide path. In a loss-making year the company contributes a fixed £2,500. The percentage of profits then steps up annually, reaching 50 per cent of profits by the end of Year 5. The staging is deliberate: early-year cash is required to build the reach that makes the mission real, and the percentage climbs to its destination as profitability allows.

03

Same kit, same quality, no cheaper version

The Foundation puts the same kit into the hands of children who could not otherwise afford it. There is no reduced version for funded children. Every child receives the identical product, because the mission is dignity as well as reach.

04

Status of the Foundation

The Unlocking Heroes Foundation is not yet a registered charity. It will be constituted as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation, with trustees appointed once the operating business is funded and the social impact model is operating at scale. Until that point, the pledge sits in the Articles of Scrubbing Squad Limited and is enforceable as a profit allocation policy of the company.

We will update this page when the Foundation is registered, including its registered charity number.
