Scrubbing Squad Limited ('Scrubbing Squad', 'we', 'us', 'our') is a company registered in England and Wales. Our registered address is 275 New North Road New North Road, #1203, London, England, N1 7AA Company registration number:16702880.
We operate scrubbingsquad.com and its subdomains. The commerce subdomain shop.scrubbingsquad.com is operated by Scrubbing Squad Limited via Shopify. Separate terms apply to purchases made through the shop - those terms are presented at checkout and are governed by Shopify's standard merchant terms alongside our own shop policies.
The Scrubbing Squad platform is currently in development. These terms govern your use of this website and the waitlist during the pre-launch period. Full platform terms, covering subscriptions, physical product activation, and the phygital ecosystem, will be issued separately when the platform opens.
By using scrubbingsquad.com, submitting a form, joining the waitlist, or purchasing from the shop, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website or submit any forms.
You must be at least 18 years old to submit a form, join the waitlist, or make a purchase. By submitting a form you confirm you are 18 or over, or that you have obtained the consent of a parent or guardian if you are between 13 and 17.
Children under 13 may not submit any form on this website. Joining the waitlist, creating a family account, or purchasing physical products on behalf of a child is an action for parents and guardians only.
Joining the waitlist is free. It requires your first name and email address and your consent to receive the founding supporter email sequence. Joining the waitlist does not create a contract for any paid product or service. It does not guarantee access to the platform on any specific date or at any specific price.
We are building the Scrubbing Squad platform. We are transparent about that. The website is positioned as 'In Build' because that is what it is. Joining the waitlist is an expression of interest, not a binding order.
Founding Supporter status is an acknowledgement of the order in which you joined the waitlist. Your Founding Supporter number is allocated sequentially. It is permanent and does not change.
Founding Supporter status carries no financial value. It is not a share, a token, a voucher, a deposit, or a right of any kind. It confers no contractual entitlement to early access, a specific price, or any other benefit beyond the founding supporter email sequence described on this website.
We intend to give Founding Supporters early access before the platform opens to the public. That is our stated intention. It is not a binding commitment. We will honour it where we are able to.
You may use scrubbingsquad.com for lawful personal and professional purposes consistent with the intended use of the site: learning about the platform, joining the waitlist, exploring the character universe, applying for school, partner, advisory, ambassador, or investor roles, and purchasing from the shop.
You may not:
• Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from this website by automated means
• Use this website to send unsolicited communications to Scrubbing Squad or to other users
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the website, our servers, or our databases
• Use any part of this website to distribute malware, viruses, or malicious code
• Reproduce, republish, or redistribute any content from this website without our written permission, except as permitted by law (fair dealing for research, private study, criticism, review, or reporting current events)
• Impersonate Scrubbing Squad, any Squad character, or any member of the founding team
• Use the character names, likenesses, or any other intellectual property of Scrubbing Squad for commercial purposes without a licence
This website describes a platform that is currently in development. Content describing features, products, pricing, and timelines reflects our current plans. Plans change. We will update the website as the build progresses, but we make no warranty that any specific feature, product, price, or launch date described on this website will be delivered exactly as described.
This is an 'In Build' platform. The website is transparent about that. Content on this site is our best current description of what we are building, not a contractual specification of what we will deliver, and through build the product, platform and features are subject to change.
All intellectual property associated with the Scrubbing Squad and Lobster Bob's Scenic Tours ecosystem, including the brand name, logo, all 18 character names and designs, the platform name, all mission names, all Squad vocabulary, all marketing copy, all platform copy, domain names, and all other creative assets, is personally owned by Mike J Midgley.
Scrubbing Squad Limited operates under a 100-year exclusive worldwide commercial licence granted by Mike J Midgley. The Unlocking Heroes Foundation operates under a separate royalty-free charitable sub-licence. These are the only two entities authorised to use this intellectual property commercially.
This ownership structure is documented in the IP Ownership and Licensing Legal Framework and is governed by the IP Committee, which has binding authority over all licensing decisions.
The characters, names, designs, and brand identity of Scrubbing Squad and Lobster Bob's Scenic Tours are personally owned by Mike J Midgley, not by the company. Scrubbing Squad Limited holds a commercial licence. Neither you, nor any third party, may use this intellectual property without written permission.
You may share links to this website on social media and in personal or professional communications. You may reference Scrubbing Squad by name in factual, non-commercial contexts (journalism, research, personal blogs). You may use screenshots of the website for personal, educational, or journalistic purposes.
Without our written permission you may not:
• Use any Squad character name, image, or design for commercial purposes
• Create derivative works based on Squad characters or brand assets
• Manufacture, sell, or distribute products bearing Squad intellectual property
• Use Squad branding in any way that suggests an endorsement, partnership, or affiliation that does not exist
• Register any domain, trademark, or social media handle using Squad intellectual property
At the current stage of the build, the shop sells branded merchandise only: apparel, journals, stickers, and posters. Vanguard platform products (the NFC-equipped gear that connects to the platform) are not yet available in the shop. When Vanguard products become available, additional terms specific to those products will apply.

Items must be returned in their original, unworn, unwashed condition. Return postage costs are at your expense unless the item is faulty. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under UK law.
All prices shown are in pounds sterling and include VAT where applicable. Payments are processed by Shopify Payments and / or Stripe. We do not store your payment card details. If a product is incorrectly priced due to an error, we will contact you before dispatching and give you the option to proceed at the correct price or cancel your order.
Delivery estimates are shown at checkout. We dispatch from the United Kingdom. International delivery times vary. We are not responsible for delays caused by customs processing or local postal services. If your order is lost in transit, contact us at orders@scrubbingsquad.com and we will investigate.
shop.scrubbingsquad.com is hosted on the Shopify platform. Shopify's own terms of service and privacy policy apply to the technical operation of the commerce subdomain. Our shop policies (returns, shipping, and privacy) are displayed within the Shopify store and form part of your purchase agreement.
Applications submitted via this website, whether for school pilot programmes, commercial partnerships, advisory roles, advisor roles, ambassador roles, or investor information, are expressions of interest only. Submitting an application does not create a binding agreement of any kind.
Submitting an application confirms you have read and agree to the relevant page terms on this website, including any role-specific disclosures (such as the voluntary, unpaid nature of advisory roles and the Unapproved Share Options disclosure on the advisors page).
We review all applications. We do not guarantee a response timeframe beyond the stated expectations on each thank-you page. We reserve the right to decline any application without giving a reason.
The Scrubbing Squad platform is designed for children aged 4 to 11, used under the supervision and with the consent of a parent or guardian. Children cannot enter legal contracts. All contracts, including waitlist signups, platform subscriptions, and shop purchases, are entered into by the parent or guardian on behalf of the child.
By creating a family account or purchasing products for a child, the parent or guardian confirms they have parental responsibility for that child, or that they have the consent of the person with parental responsibility.
Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising their child's use of the platform and physical products in accordance with the age recommendations, safety guidance, and product instructions provided.
We take child safety seriously. Our child protection policy is published at /about/safety. If you have a safeguarding concern relating to any aspect of the Scrubbing Squad platform or community, contact compliance@scrubbingsquad.com immediately.
The Scrubbing Squad platform is not yet open. Full platform terms will be issued at launch. However, because the platform has a phygital architecture with specific characteristics that differ from standard apps, we are disclosing the following now so that joining the waitlist is fully informed.
The platform will operate on a subscription model at launch. Indicative pricing, subject to change before launch, is as follows:
• Hero Solo: £9.99 per month or £99.90 per year (one child)
• Hero Squad: £14.99 per month or £149.90 per year (up to 3 children)
Certain premium digital features of the platform are locked until a physical Vanguard product (specifically the Squad Access Key, V01) completes its first NFC handshake with the app. This is the Hardware-First Gate. It is an architectural principle, not a settings option: Atoms unlock Bits. The digital platform is designed to reward real-world physical effort. Digital-only access is available on the free tier without physical products.
• Extra Hero: +£2.99 per month per additional child beyond the included tier
Subscriptions auto-renew. You will be able to cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We will not charge you again after cancellation. These indicative prices may change before the platform launches. Confirmed pricing will be communicated to Founding Supporters before the platform opens.
This is important. Please read it before you create a family account.
When your child completes a mission and their device syncs, a structured evidence record is committed to our cloud database, called the Sovereign Ledger. This database is WORM-enforced: Write Once Read Many. Once a record is committed, it cannot be altered or deleted. This is an architectural constraint, not a policy. It is the property that makes the evidence clinically credible.
This has a specific consequence for your right to erasure under UK GDPR. When you close your account and exercise your right to erasure, we destroy your family's cryptographic identifiers. This severs the connection between you and any records in the Sovereign Ledger. The records remain, but they become orphaned cryptographic strings with no mapping to any real person. They cannot identify your child. They cannot be linked back to your family by anyone, including us.
You should know this before you create an account. The full explanation, including the GDPR legal basis for this architecture, is in our Privacy Policy at /privacy-policy.
Vanguard physical products, when available, contain NFC chips (NTAG 424 DNA, AES-128 SUN encryption). These chips communicate with the app on your device. They do not connect to the internet independently. They cannot identify your child. They do not store personal data. Full technical specifications and compliance information will be included in the product documentation at launch.
This website may contain links to third-party websites and services. We do not control those websites and are not responsible for their content, privacy practices, or terms. A link from our website is not an endorsement.
The platform uses the following third-party services, each governed by their own terms and privacy policies: Shopify (commerce), Stripe (payments), Customer.io (email), Attio (CRM) and our cloud infrastructure provider. These relationships are governed by data processing agreements under UK GDPR. Details are in our Privacy Policy.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law (including your statutory consumer rights).
Subject to the above: we provide this website on an 'as is' basis. We make no warranty that the website will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from viruses. We are not liable for any loss of data, business, revenue, or profit arising from your use of this website, except where that loss is a direct result of our negligence or a breach of our legal duties.
Because the platform is in development, we are not liable for any loss arising from a delay to the launch, a change to features described on this website, or any change to indicative pricing, except where a binding contract has been formed (for example, a shop purchase).
Where we are liable, our total liability to you in connection with this website (excluding shop purchases, which are governed by separate terms) is limited to £100.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Any dispute arising from your use of this website will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except that you retain the right to bring proceedings in the courts of the country where you live if that country's consumer protection laws give you that right.
If you have a complaint about this website, our products, or our services, contact us first at compliance@scrubbingsquad.com. We will do our best to resolve it within 5 working days. If we cannot resolve it, you may refer it to an alternative dispute resolution scheme; details will be provided in platform terms at launch.
We may update these terms. We will notify Founding Supporters by email of any material changes at least 14 days before they take effect. The current version is always published at /terms. The version number and effective date at the top of this page confirm which version is live. Continued use of the website after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
